While the Mustr owner’s portal is being developed, you will receive email and Facebook updates on a weekly basis. Updates will be in the form of video, voice message or images. Once the Mustr portal is up and running, these updates will be accessible in your owner’s newsfeed.

Yes, there will be many organised events throughout the horse’s career. These will come in the form of open-stable mornings coupled with a few Good Day mimosas and raceday events, where you will be in an exclusive area trackside, cheering your horse home down the straight.

All share percentage prize money will be paid to individual owners using the wallet function on the Mustr website. Each owner will have their own log-in details to access the website. This function is currently being developed and will launch by the time the horse is racing. It is standard Racing Australia protocol that your share percentage of prize money is paid after trainer and jockey deductions.

‘Shoulders’ (Derryn X Mifflin Gelding) has already begun his education phase with Richard and Will Freedman and he’s progressing exactly as expected. The current plan for him is to have his first educational trial early next year. If he continues to develop well, he is on track to make his raceday debut by next winter.

The standard available share for the horse costs $249 and is for 0.04% ownership. This is the minimum amount you can purchase. These figures maximise how many people can get involved at an affordable price. However, to increase the overall percentage of your ownership, you can buy as many shares as you like (e.g. two shares for $498 = 0.08% ownership). There is no maximum amount.

In the unfortunate event that his career ends early, the proportion of estimated training and insurance costs from your share will be refunded. The horse himself will be rehomed and relocated to live out his days as a happy horse in a paddock as per Mustr’s horse wellbeing policy.

Head to Mustr.racing at 6:00pm AEST on 4 December 2025 and you will find a button to select as many shares as you like. Finalise your shares by paying for them on the website.

Yes. The gelding was independently assessed by a certified veterinarian, prior to being purchased. The horse was x-rayed, scoped and physically examined which concluded he was a sound racing prospect.

Mustr will work closely with relevant race clubs to accommodate as many owners as possible on each raceday. Raceday ticketing and mounting yard access is often limited and ballots will run when this is the case. Where owners are unable to be accommodated, Mustr will organise offsite events so everyone can enjoy the thrills of racing together.
